Okay, so I thought that it was just my younger kids who said or did crazy stuff. BUT, Nooooo!!
After picking the preteen/teen boys up from a friends house this afternoon they were both telling me about their day!
Me: How was you day?
Red: They broke K's bed wrestling.
Me: Were you wrestling with them?
Red: Nope, but I fixed it.
Me: How?
Red: The redneck way--with a sock and duct tape! (Proudly puffing out his chest and smiling)
Me: And your day Lord Humble?
LH: Their cousin was over.
Me: Yes, is he nice?
LH: I told him he looks like a gecko.
Me: Why?
LH: Because he has big eyes.
There must be some reason for all of the distorted logic? Maybe our new homeschool course should be TACT 101. Or maybe, I will just continue to say that they take after their dad!

Does this mean that tact does not, in fact, magically come with age? Crap - I'm in some deep trouble!
LOL! If you ever meet a teenager with tact, please let me know! LOL
Too funny!

ps thank you so much for all of your support and kind words these past few days. It has meant a lot to me.
Michelle, I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. Thank you for your kind comment, too. It really makes my day to meet a new reader and discover a new blog at the same time. I've been reading your recent posts and laughing and grinning and just generally enjoying the pleasure you take in parenting and the love you have for your family. It's so nice to meet you.
never a dull moment with kids! I love the gecko picture. That's cute and brought me a chuckle. :0)
